The 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean kicks off with the participation of Syria

Cairo, SANA -The 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean kicked off on Monday in Cairo under the slogan “Together for a Sustainable Tomorrow and Better Health” and continues until the 13th of this month, with the participation of a Syrian delegation headed by the Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabash.

 

The Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean holds its sessions each October. During the sessions of the Regional Committee, member states discuss and approve policies, activities and regional financial plans.

 

The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabash, was elected at the 67th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean in 2020 as Vice-Chairman of the Regional Committee.
