The Arab Opinion Committee refuses to evacuate the forward headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk and hand it over to Barzani’s party

Kirkuk, The Arab Opinion Committee rejected the decision to evacuate the headquarters of the advanced headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk and hand it over to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which left the site after the 2017 imposition of law operations.

It said in a statement, “We have repeatedly confirmed that any agreement between Baghdad and the region without referring to all the people of Kirkuk governorate is void, and unacceptable, and it will lead to a threat to societal peace in the governorate, and that this is considered bargaining and courtesy in order to form the government, for which the stable people of Kirkuk pay the price and its coexistent people under the law enforcement plan and the efforts of our heroic security forces.

It explained that handing over the building of the advanced headquarters to a political party considers the presence of the Iraqi army in Kirkuk after its liberation from the power of the parties that wreaked havoc in it, which it considers an occupation, and who used this headquarters for kidnapping and killing, and this is documented and with the knowledge of everyone, and that this is a challenge to coexistence and peace and a blow to the plan to enforce the law.

It added that the Arab Opinion Council rejects and condemns this unjust agreement and calls on the Prime Minister to cancel this decision immediately and spare Kirkuk a strife with unimaginable consequences.

The Committee warned of the serious consequences that the application of this wrong and ill-conceived decision will lead to applying this wrong and ill-conceived decision.
