Baghdad / NINA / -The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, participated in the International Women of Courage Award ceremony in Washington.
The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement: “The participation of the Minister of Finance came as an appreciation of her contributions to strengthening the Iraqi financial and economic situation and reducing corruption.”
It added, “The minister’s attendance at the ceremony came at an official invitation from the US State Department, and in appreciation of her receiving the same award last year, 2022.”
The statement continued, “The International Women of Courage Award is awarded to women from all over the world who have shown exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in defending peace, justice, human rights, equality, and the empowerment of women.”/ End
