Baghdad, The Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, discussed today with the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs in Iraq, Ghulam Ishaq Zai, in the Ministry’s building in the capital, Baghdad, a number of issues related to the displaced people and the challenges that prevent their return to their areas, as well as the reconstruction of The liberated areas and the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the Yazidi areas.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed that “the Ministry, in coordination with United Nations organizations, is working on preparing an integrated vision and plan, to end the suffering of the displaced people in the camps by securing the basic requirements for their safe and voluntary return.”
