Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, at the Baghdad Palace, the delegation of the General Authority for Tourism in the Kurdistan Region, headed by Amal Jalal Muhammad.
In a statement, the President of the Republic stressed the necessity of establishing a Kurdish-Arab cultural center in the city of Sulaymaniyah, paying attention to archaeological monuments, museums and tourist places, and providing services to visitors in a manner consistent with Iraq’s cultural and historical status.
Rashid pointed out the need to benefit from the paintings of Iraqi artists in tourist places and hotels in order to introduce the originality of Iraqi art and Iraqi civilization.
For her part, Amal Jalal Muhammad expressed her thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for the warm reception, noting that the Authority had developed a tourism plan to improve the reality of tourism in the Kurdistan region and to hold events and festivals in this regard.
