Baghdad, The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, met today, Saturday, with a delegation from the German Agency GIZ, with the aim of supporting women’s work in the Ministry of Interior and developing their capabilities in various joints and formations.
A statement by the Minister’s office stated: “Al-Shammari discussed a number of issues of common interest, foremost of which is the work of the Women’s Empowerment Department, and presented the activities of the next phase to implement joint training with a number of state Ministries.”
They also discussed initiating training in the coming period, especially in the Women’s Institute in the Directorate of Training and Rehabilitation, and benefiting from the organization’s potential in this field.
The Minister emphasized the important role of women working in the Ministry of Interior and their continuous efforts.
For its part, the German organization appreciated the Minister’s keenness on permanent and continuous communication in a way that serves common interests.
