Tourism, civil aviation ministers discuss boosting incoming tourism to Egypt

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el Anani said several joint measures and initiatives have been launched to stimulate tourism, especially in light of the remarkable success and positive results achieved by recent promotional campaigns that targeted tourism-exporting markets.

He also highlighted the flocking of tourists from different countries of the world to Egypt in order to enjoy the diverse, unique tourist destinations of the country.

Anani made the remarks during his meeting with Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar at the headquarters of the tourism ministry, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a statement.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Parliament’s Tourism and Civil Aviation Committee Noura Ali, a host of tourism investors, and officials from the two ministries.

The meeting comes within the framework of the prime minister’s directives to the tourism and civil aviation ministers to boost incoming tourism to Egypt.

During the meeting, Anani expressed thanks to the civil aviation minister for the fruitful cooperation and constant coordination between the two ministries to support Egypt’s tourism sector and implement the State’s plan to stimulate travelling to Egypt.

Meanwhile, the civil aviation minister voiced appreciation for joint cooperation and effective coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities as well as with tourism investors, emphasizing the political leadership’s support for the aviation and tourism sectors.

The Egyptian State has taken a package of unprecedented measures to revitalize tourism to the country, Manar noted.
