Tourism Minister, Italian ambassador discuss boosting inbound tourism

Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anani had talks on Friday 08/04/2022 with Italian ambassador in Cairo Michele Quaroni and the head of the Italian Federation of Travel and Tourism Associations (FIAVET) on means of boosting bilateral cooperation and increasing the Italian inbound tourism flows to Egypt.

This falls within the framework of the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry’s keenness on coordinating and communicating with the main travel export markets from various world countries.

The meeting also took up the importance of the Italian market as one of the main markets exporting tourism to Egypt. Italy has been on the list of the ten main travel export markets to Egypt over the past few years.

The meeting also touched on Egypt’s participation in the International Tourism Exchange (BIT), set for Italy’s Milano city from April 10 to 12.

Since its inception, the annual BIT – Borsa Internazionale del Turismo – one of the most internationally-renowned fairs reserved to decision-makers, buyers and experts in tourism – has been a reference point in the world of tourism.
