The industrial and technology park of Tozeur (Pôle Djerid) held an information day on Wednesday for around forty managers of date exporting companies on how to obtain the ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 quality standards.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Industry, Energy, Mines and Energy in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The aim of the event was to familiarise the managers of date exporting companies with the steps and procedures involved in obtaining these quality certificates, with a view to facilitating access to the European and American markets, Mourad Sfaya, head of marketing and international cooperation at Pôle Djerid, told TAP.
“We are working to support the competitiveness of companies by demonstrating the advantages of obtaining these quality labels and, at the same time, we are assisting a number of institutions wishing to benefit from the programme, through the German cooperation experts, until they reach the final approval stage,” he pointed out
