Transport min. inspects 3rd phase of western Upper Egypt road

Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir inspected Sunday the execution status of the third phase of the western Upper Egypt road at a length of 125 km.

The minister issued directives to continue work around the clock to finalize the three-lane road on time.

The road is part of the Cape Town to Cairo Highway, which will contribute to facilitating trade among African countries, the minister noted.

Wazir added that the road will be entirely established by specialized Egyptian firms within the framework of partnership with the private sector.
