ABU DHABI: The second edition of the Trends International Education Conference will be held on 6th March under the theme, “Education and Identity in the Digital Age: Proposed Strategies for Preserving Identity and Shaping Youth Behaviors”.

The conference, which will be held at Trends Research and Advisory headquarters in Abu Dhabi, coincides with the activities of the National Month of Reading, with two main sessions highlighting the importance of education and reading in shaping the national identity of societies.

The first discusses “Education and identity in a changing world: challenges and risks”, and the second addresses “Education and Identity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Revolution”.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Trends Research and Advisory, said that the conference is an important scientific, cultural and educational event that translates the national strategy for purposeful reading into social activities that consolidate the culture of science and knowledge.

H
e explained that reading develops the skills and abilities of young people, strengthens their language, and preserves their cultural values and national identity. He also underscored the critical role of reading in the educational process and research, reiterating the need for innovative methods to promote reading as a means of personal development and knowledge acquisition.

Dr. Al-Ali underscored that the conference will address these concerns, noting that by promoting a culture of learning, personal development, preserving identity, and reading, society can effectively contribute to building a generation capable of interacting positively with technological development and contributing to the development of society.

Dr. Al-Ali emphasised the transformative power of reading in supporting knowledge acquisition, preserving identity, and fostering a sense of belonging among young people. The conference aims to convey this message through its conclusive recommendations, highlighting the enduring importance of r
eading in an increasingly digital world.
