TUNISIA: The Republic of Tunisia held the international community responsible for the ongoing aggression and war of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people for more than four and a half months and the targeting of innocent civilians in total violation of all human values, norms and laws.

Following the failure of the UN Security Council to adopt the Algerian-led draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad underscored the catastrophic implications and consequences that threaten the Palestinian people and the entire region unless the UN Security Council assumes its primary responsibility of maintaining international peace and security and refraining from the policy of double standards and the irresponsible use of veto that grants the occupation the green light to resume its plans of liquidating the Palestinian right by persisting in further genocidal crimes and starvation and the desperate attemp
ts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people.

The Tunisian ministry reiterated its unwavering and unconditional support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the occupation to gain their legitimate historical rights, self-determination and the establishment of an independent state that has sovereignty over the whole territory of the State of Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital.
