Turkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned on Monday French Ambassador in Ankara Herve Magro to discuss the recent plaudits of the YPG group by the French Senate.
According to Anadolu News Agency, a diplomatic source said “strong” condemnations were directed to ambassador Herve for the honoring of the YPG group, an extension of the militant PKK.
The Turkish Disisleri made clear its directives to the French Authorities, in order to take steps in the frameworks of combating terrorism and disallowing “legitimization efforts” of such groups.
They also requested, “The protection of Turkish borders, security of Turkish citizens, protections of Syrian territorial integrity, and acting in accordance to the spirit of alliance of NATO”.
Sources also mentioned, Turkish Ambassador in Paris will be contacting French authorities on this matter with a heavy flak to what happened in the French Senate. (end) akw.aq
