QALQILYA: Two Palestinians today were shot and injured with shrapnel in the hand following an Israeli military raid of the city of Qalqilya.

Medical sources said that Israeli occupation army raided the city, sparking confrontations with local residents, during which the occupation soldiers fired heavy gunfire and volleys of tear gas bombs, injuring two by shrapnel from live bullets fired by Israeli occupation.

The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where their injuries were described as moderate.

Israeli forces further raided several houses, inspected them and tampered with their contents.
