NABLUS: Two Palestinians Monday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack on Khirbet at-Tawil, east of the town of Aqraba, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that colonists, under military protection, attacked Palestinian farmers tending to their farmland and opened live gunfire at them, injuring two with bullets and inflicting bruises and fractures across the body of another.

The gun-toting soldiers prevented an ambulance from providing emergency treatment to the casualties.

Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
