Basra The Basra Anti-Crime Police arrested two suspects and seized a vehicle loaded with a number of cables of different sizes.
The Basra Police Command stated, according to a statement, “After receiving a report that a group of people were stealing the electrical and pneumatic connections of the high-voltage power line in the Basra area near Al-Kawaz Mosque, and according to the checkpoint call, a team was formed from the town’s Anti-crime division, and they moved immediately to the scene of the accident and collected information to reach the perpetrators, where two accused were arrested and a vehicle loaded with a number of cables of different sizes was seized.
The Basra police added in its statement that a Kalashnikov rifle and quantities of high-tension cables were seized inside a store in the area./ End
