UAE market first destination for Egyptian exports

International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat stressed on Thursday 2/9/2021 that trade cooperation between Egypt and the UAE reached important growth levels with the UAE market being the first destination for Egyptian exports.

 

The minister said the UAE market receives 11 percent of Egyptian exports, adding that the UAE is carrying out projects in the Egyptian market at a total cost of 7 billion dollars and has more than 7 billion dollars in additional investments.

 

During a meeting with UAE Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Mashat underlined the importance of activating the meetings of the higher committee that was founded in 1988 to regulate cooperation between the two countries in different domains.

 

Mashat lauded development cooperation with the UAE that is run through Khalifa Fund for Projects Development and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.

 

She asserted her ministry’s keenness on developing cooperation with these development institutions.

 

The UAE minister reiterated keenness on enhancing cooperation with Egypt, lauding development booms witnessed in the country during the era of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
