Lattakia, SANA- Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), affirmed that his country will continue to support the Syrian people, especially in the medical sector, to face the repercussions of the earthquake.

After he has toured and been briefed on the sites affected by the earthquake in Jableh city along with Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash, and the Governor of Lattakia, Amer Hilal, Al-Owais said in a statement that the Emiratis and Syrians are one people, and there is continuous communication to help them, in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and with the direct follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court, to secure direct health and medical needs.

Al-Owais pointed out that an Emirati team of doctors, engineers and technicians specialized in health services to has been formed to study the current situation and support the brothers in Syria with all that the UAE can provide, not only for this stage, but also for the coming ones.

“I and His Excellency the UAE Minister of Health were acquainted with the damage caused by the earthquake in Jableh… The cooperation between our two brotherly countries in the health sector is not new, as the UAE has always supported this sector,” al-Ghobash, said.
