UAE President Attends BRICS Summit in Kazan, Marking First Participation as Full Member

KAZAN: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates attended the 16th BRICS Summit, inaugurated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in Kazan. This event signifies the UAE's inaugural participation as a full member of the BRICS group, highlighting its growing international engagement. According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE's involvement comes during a summit chaired by Russia under the theme 'Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security.' The summit gathers leaders and heads of government from BRICS member countries, alongside representatives from invited nations and various international organizations, to discuss global development and security strategies. President Sheikh Mohamed arrived at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, where the summit is held, and participated in an official group photo with other leaders. His delegation includes H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Fo reign Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and several ministers and senior officials.
