Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR), stressed that the continuous support of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, has strengthened the UAE’s leadership in promoting activities involving Arabian horses around the world. “There has been a continuous rise in the number of races worldwide due to the unlimited and unprecedented support of Sheikh Mansour, who has supported more than 80 international racecourses,” Al Rahmani said. In his statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Rahmani said that the UAE is adopting the best practices for preserving Arabian horses, which embody the traditional heritage of the country, following the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The “Al Ain 12th Arabian Purebred Horses Race,” which will take place next Saturday, will feature a 5.1-kilometre race. The UAE leadership prioritises activities involving Arabian horses at all international racecourses, as the sport represents a set of values aimed at promoting compassion, humanity and solidarity, he added. Sports also represent a soft power that the country can use to strengthen its global stature and highlight its pioneering role in promoting tolerance and coexistence around the world, he further added.
