LONDON: UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak slammed the comments made by Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he opposed a Palestinian State, as ‘disappointing.”

He reiterated the UK’s commitment toward a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, leading to the establishment of a viable and sovereign Palestinian state living alongside Israel in peace and security, which he stressed is the best way to achieve a lasting peace.

When asked about Netanyahu’s remarks, Sunak told reporters that it was disappointing to hear such remarks from the Israeli prime minister.
