LONDON: British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that England will consider, with its allies, the recognition of the Palestinian state, including in the United Nations.

In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation, Cameron stressed that the UK is ready for the time when it officially recognizes the Palestinian state, and that the Palestinians must be given a political horizon to encourage peace in the Middle East.

The British Foreign Secretary added at a reception in Westminster that the Palestinian people must be shown ‘irreversible progress towards a two-state solution.’
