Deputy House Speaker, Elias Bou Saab, on Tuesday welcomed United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, who briefed him on the outcome of the discussions that took place during the Security Council’s meeting over Lebanon. The pair also discussed “some of the points mentioned in the report, especially in the wake of the fresh developments in south Lebanon. UNIFIL’s mission in south Lebanon was also addressed, in addition to some contentious points over land borders and the need to resolve them, the importance of speeding up the election of a new Lebanese president for the republic, and the need to pass reform laws.
