US Envoy for Climate praises Egypt’s role hosting COP27

US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry said, Wednesday that the upcoming climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt [COP27] is viewed as the “implementation summit”.

He explained that officials and leaders must do everything in their power to limit global warming because, “We create conditions in the universe that cannot be undone”.

Kerry added in a press briefing over the phone, that there is a great commitment by Egypt and the UAE to make a major shift in the COP27 and COP28 summits, praising the Egyptian government’s sponsorship of the upcoming summit in Sharm El Sheikh, and its tireless efforts to boost energy Renewables and emissions reduction.
