US State Department and the Pentagon will be revealing after-actions reports of the 2021 military withdrawal from Afghanistan, on Thursday according to the White House press briefing. National Security Council Coordinator, John Kirby said, reviews will be made available for the relevant committees in the Senate and House, as mentioned by Secretaries Anthony Blinken and Lloyd Austin last month.
And adding that as of today “a document that provides our perspectives on the withdrawal and outlines of what we learned” will be made available to the public, in addition to how the administration is inclining with what was erudite from those documents. Over the past months the administrations work on the assessment of the withdrawal from Afghanistan made through the department and agencies conductions of internal after action reviews, aiming to probe how decision making was processed and executed through the epoch.
