Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour said Sunday that Egypt has maintained its leading rankings among African countries in the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Rankings For the best 1500 universities worldwide.
Out of 32 African universities, Egypt was ranked with 14 universities, he added.
The American University in Cairo ranked 416, Cairo University (551-560), then Ain Shams University (801-1000), followed by 3 universities in the (1001-1200) category, while eight universities came in the (1201-1400) rankings.
