29 new coronavirus cases, 2 deaths reported in Syria

29 new COVID-19 cases, 171 recoveries and 2 deaths were reported in Syria on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement by the ministry showed that the overall number of infections registered in Syria has reached up to 55,460, of which 50,352 have recovered, while 3,120 others have passed away.

On March 22nd, 2020, Syria recorded the first coronavirus case, while the first death was reported on the 29th of the same month.
