Aleppo,SANA- The progress rate in the rehabilitation works of the first group of the thermal power plant in eastern Aleppo reached 50% and work with it will start before the end of this year.
Minister of Electricity, Ghassan Al-Zamil, during his inspection of the rehabilitation and repair work of the first group in the thermal station, said that the visit comes upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad to follow up on the rehabilitation of the thermal station.
The Minister pointed out to the continuation of work and taking the necessary measures to contract for the rehabilitation of the second, third and fourth groups at the station in cooperation with national partners and friendly companies working in this field.
He added that this work will reflect positively on improving the electrical supply and supporting the service and economic sectors in all governorates.
Two convoys of electrical network materials arrived in Aleppo province , in preparation for their installation and putting them into service.
