Syria participates in Fourth Regional SDG4-Education 2030 Partners Meeting

Damascus- With participation of Syria, activities of fourth virtual regional meeting on Education Agenda (2030), organized by UN Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Regional Office for Education in the Arab Countries in Beirut, were launched on Tuesday via Internet.

 

The meeting aims at reviewing progress made in achieving the fourth goal of the sustainable development in the Arab region, which is quality education, and the challenges that impede progress towards achieving it, and discussing innovative approaches, especially with regard to crises, and strengthening regional commitment to progress towards achieving the agenda of educational works until 2030.

 

The participants discussed, on the 1st day of the meeting which will last until 8th of the current month, the process of continuing education, as well as the challenges, gaps and essential opportunities.

 

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Abdul-Hakim Al-Hammad, the National Coordinator for the Fourth Sustainable Development Goal took part in the meeting.
