Sabbagh: Syria stresses commitment to its right in regaining the whole occupied Syria Golan

Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Bassam Sabbagh, said the rightful stance of UN General Assembly that agrees with principles and objectives of the international organization, has been affirmed by UN Security Council resolution No. 497 which rejects the Israeli occupation decision about the occupied Syrian Golan as null and void.

“Stubbornness of Israeli occupation and its rejection to comply with the UN resolutions affirms the unacceptable failure of the UN to force it end its occupation of the Syrian Golan,” Sabbagh said at UN General Assembly session on Wednesday.

He added that Syria stresses commitment to its right in regaining the whole occupied Syria Golan.

Sabbagh said Syria stresses that the measures adopted by the Israeli occupation to change features of Golan or to impose its laws are null and void and have no legal effect.
