Azhar condemns Israeli president visit to Ibrahimi Mosque

Egypt’s Al Azhar has condemned in the strongest possible terms Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit to the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

The Israeli president stormed the mosque amidst tight security by military troops in a blatant attack on Islamic sanctities, Al Azhar said on Wednesday 1/12/2021.

It is a desperate attempt to create a new fact on the ground, it said, noting that would only make the Palestinians more firm on struggling for their rights and religious sanctities.

Al Azhar warned of such “dangerous” attacks and urged the world community and governments to live up to their responsibilities to stop such violations and provocations that should not be repeated.
