Below-average temperatures, frost, fog expected in interior regions

Meteorology Department said on Saturday that temperatures will slightly rise, yet remaining from 2 to 5 degrees below average as the country is affected by superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper parts of the atmosphere.

According to Saturday bulletin, the cold weather which had recently prevailed the country would weaken, as the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with little chance for showers over the coastal regions.

At night, the weather will be very cold in most regions, frost, ice and Fog are expected in the interior regions

The bulletin added the wind will be of changeable direction to southeasterly with low speed while the sea waves will be low in amplitude

The expected temperatures in a number of Syrian regions will be as follows: Damascus 10/2, Daraa 10/1, Homs 10/1, Hasaka 9/0, Tartous 12/7, Aleppo 8/0, Deir Ezzor 10/2
