Following 11-days power outage, Qamishli city restores electricity

The technical workshops affiliated to Hasaka Electricity Company have completed the repair work of the 230 kV voltage line, which links al-Sweidiyah power plant and the southern Qamishli transmission station.

Director of Hasaka Electricity Company, Eng. Anwar Okla affirmed power return to Qamishli city after 11-days of interruption due to collapse of an electric tower in Krivati village in Qamishli countryside during the snow storm that hit the region.

Okla said that 66 kV line  which feeds al-Mabsata transmission station, feeding the center of Hasaka city and neighborhoods of Ghwairan, al-Nashwa and al-Zohour is still out of service due to being damaged during the clashes erupted in the vicinity of the Industrial Secondary Prison.

He stressed that the workshops will carry out repair works of the tower as soon as possible.
