Cabinet: Egypt promising, most attractive fintech market in ME, N. Africa

The cabinet media center said about 62 to 74 million people in Egypt are expected to use financial technology.

This came in an infograph published by the center under the title “Egypt has promising, most attractive, lucrative fintech market in Middle East and North Africa.

The center said Egypt witnessed a rise in mobile phone and internet use, thus becoming the most attractive market in fintech in Middle East and North Africa.

Egypt was the home of the first fintech unicorn and launched the first application for “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL).

Egypt has 80 fintech companies which is the third largest number of fintech firms in the Middle East and North Africa.
