Syria, UAE to enhance cooperation in scientific and research fields

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, discussed with Charge d’ affairs of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Damascus, Counsellor, Abdul Hakeem al-Nuaimi, joint cooperation in the scientific and research fields.

Minister Ibrahim stressed Syria’s willingness to boost cooperation between universities and educational institutions in both countries and the possibility of signing a scientific research agreement between Syrian and Emirati universities, holding scientific conferences and exchanging scientific research that serves economic and social development.

In turn, Charge d’ Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Damascus affirmed that Syria is an ancient country with a civilized history, and that the relations between the two brotherly countries are strong and distinguished, expressing his country’s desire to develop joint cooperation in all fields and looking forward to establishing cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in both countries.
