The Secretariat General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the continuing Israeli extremist violations of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque who dared to invade Al-Asbat gate for the first time since 1967 under the protection of the Israeli police, an attempt to change the historical and legal current situation of the mosque, and an act considered provocative to feelings of all Muslims and a flagrant violation of the international relevant resolutions.

In a statement, OIC Secretary General Hissein Ibrahim Taha held the Israeli occupation responsible of any repercussions resulting from such Israeli claims and calling on the world community to shoulder its responsibility towards the Israeli acts aiming to fuel the religious, extremist struggle and destabilize the region.
