Zaki witnesses ceremony of Air Defense Academy

Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki witnessed a ceremony of a scientific innovation contest of the Air Defense Academy.

The contest falls within the framework of the Armed Forces general command’s interest in supporting various scientific domains.

Armed Forces Chief of Staff Osama Askar attended the event alongside a number of top brass, ministers and governors.

Lieutenant General Mohamed Hegazy Abdul-Mawgoud, Air Defense Forces Commander, stressed the Armed Forces general command’s keenness on offering all needed support to encourage scientific innovation.

During the ceremony, a documentary film about the Air Defense Academy was screened to show the development realized in the air defense mechanism.

Winners in the contest were honored for their scientific innovations.

Within this context, Zaki met with a number of cadets and teaching staff of the Air Defense Academy and the Egyptian Naval Academy.

Zaki forwarded greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the cadets, stressing interest in securing all needed support for building future generations capable of shouldering responsibility to protect the nation.
