Egypt welcomes visits by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and all leaders and heads of state and government to the country in response to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s invitation to attend COP27, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi Saturday 29/10/2022.

The COP27 is slated for next month in Sham El Sheikh.

Radi added in response to a question by the Italian news agency about Meloni’s participation in COP27 that this participation in the international climate gathering is an important addition to global efforts aimed at facing climate change that tops international priorities.

The visit aims to boost and enhance bilateral historical relations binding Egypt and Italy, according to Radi.
