Supply Ministry: Russian wheat traded at EMX at EGP 9,750 per ton

The Ministry of Supply said that the General Authority of Supply Commodities started on Sunday trading wheat via the Egyptian Mercantile Exchange (EMX) and 18 purchase operations were accomplished.

The authority offered via EMX 12,000 tons of imported Russian wheat for private sector mills at EGP 9,750 per ton, the Supply Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The purchase requests surpassed the available amount by 64.83 percent, the statement said, noting that another trading session will be held on Wednesday.
