Rabat, The Sultanate of Oman headed the 29th meeting of the Arab countries’ Mineral Resources Sector Advisory Committee, held at the headquarters of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) in Morocco.

The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Dr. Said Mohammed Al Bar’ami, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco, was participated by delegations representing 19 Arab countries.

A spectrum of topics were discussed during the meeting, including technical topics proposed for the meeting of Arab ministers concerned with the minerals sector and the AIDSMO programme for 2023-2024, among other topics.

In a statement, Al Bar’ami affirmed the importance of boosting intra-Arab investments in this vital sector and according attention to various mineral resources in a bid to diversify sources of income and increase the Arab countries’ competitiveness in international markets.
