HEBRON: Israeli colonists this evening attacked Palestinian shepherds and residents in Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, said a local activist.

Coordinator of the popular committees against the wall and settlements in southern Hebron, Rateb al-Jabour, told WAFA that colonial settlers from the so-called Karmiel colony, which was illegally built on citizens’ lands in Masafer Yatta, attacked several Palestinian homes in Um al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta.

Armed colonists reportedly attacked several homes belonging to the Hathaleen family, prevented their residents from leaving, and threatened to kill them. All was done under the protection of Israeli forces.

In the meantime, a number of colonists from the illegal settlement of Beni Hefer attacked Palestinian shepherds and threatened to kill them.

Forces also opened fire on two cars near the village of Ma’on, east of Yatta, however, no injuries were reported.

Colonists from the illegal Israeli settlement of Susiya
physically assaulted two Palestinian youths in the village of Susiya and smashed the windows of their car. The two sustained bruises and cuts as a result of the attack and were treated at the scene.
