ISTANBUL: Ukraine has topped the medal table at the Winter Deaflympics held in Erzurum in Turkey from 2nd to 12th March, with ten golds, five silvers and four bronzes.

Italy has scooped six medals including one gold, three silvers and two bronzes.

“Italy wrapped up the #winterdeaflympics with six beautiful medals – 1 gold, 3 silvers and 2 bronzes – very well done,” the Italian Consulate General in Istanbul posted on X.

The Deaflympics is an international multi-sport event for hearing-impaired athletes held every four years in winter and summer format, organised by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD).
