A European tourist group visits archaeological sites in Busra al-Sham

Daraa, SANA- A tourist group from various European nationalities visited the ancient city of Busra al-Sham in Daraa countryside to document the archeological sites and historical monuments.

 

The tourist group toured the theater, the castle, Church of Saints Sergius, Bacchus, the Monastery of Bahira the Monk, and Birkat (pool) al-Hajj , director of the Tourist Information Center in Bosra al-Sham, Muhammad Mikdad said.

 

Busra al-Sham city includes 45 archeological sites inside and outside the old city.

 

The city was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
