Training Center of Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Tuesday concluded a training workshop, under the theme: “Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Press and Media Work,” moderated by fellow journalist, Ayman Huneiti.
Huneiti expressed importance of aligning press content to suit digital technologies and benefit from advanced digital developments to develop Petra’s media content and workers’ capabilities to possess the necessary skills in this field.
The 3-day event aimed at introducing Petra’s staff to the latest digital developments and motivating its journalists to use artificial intelligence tools in press work with participation of specialist in artificial intelligence technologies , Rami Eldamaty.
Meanwhile, Eldamaty stressed importance of developing journalists’ skills and capabilities by using artificial intelligence tools in creating digital content.
He reviewed multiple key tools in detecting false content, by integrating 120 useful tools for the press and media field, adding that these workshops are important to meet media sector’s needs and develop its workers’ skills.
For his part, Director of Petra’s Training and Institutional Development Directorate, Jamil Baramawy, said this event focuses on the latest digital developments in press and media operations, to raise journalists’ professional competencies and enable them to use digital tools to enrich media performance.
