Aide to PM: Investors complaint unit received 109 complaints

First Assistant to the Prime Minister Engineer Randa el-Minshawi said the Cabinet’s permeant unit established to solve investors complaints has received 109 complaints so far.

During a meeting with members of the unit on Wednesday 27/7/2022, in the presence of the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the assistant to the prime minister said the unit is examining and solving all problems besetting investors, along with local and foreign companies in the various investment fields.

According to Minshawi, some of the complaints were handed over directly and others were filed electronically.

All efforts are parts of government drives to facilitate measures before investors, with a view to propelling the investment wheel, she said.

The unit solved 42 of the complaints, the official said, adding that coordination is under way with concerned ministries to work out solution for the remaining 67 complaints.

A number of senior investment officials and head of investment firms took part in the meeting.
