AKAR, FLEISCHER TACKLE WAYS WORLD FOOD PROGRAM CAN ASSIST LEBANON

Deputy Prime Minister, caretaker Minister of National Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zeina Akar, welcomed the Regional Director of the World Food Program in the Middle East and North Africa, Corinne Fleischer, accompanied by the Director of the World Food Program in Lebanon, Abdallah Al-Wardat.

 

A statement distributed by Akar’s media office stated that “the research dealt with the situation in Lebanon in light of the economic, social and living crisis, and how to increase the program’s assistance to Lebanon, in addition to the issue of the ration card and the possibility of securing financial aid for Lebanese families and displaced Syrians.”
