Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb has praised the great efforts exerted by Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
El Tayyeb’s remarks came on Monday when he received Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder at Al Azhar Sheikhdom premises.
The grand imam also lauded the strong and deeply-rooted relations between Al Azhar and Bahrain.
The diplomat commended the important role played by Al Azhar to spread and promote Islam’s principles of tolerance, peace and coexistence.
