Al Azhar Imam: Holy Quran a divine light

Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed El Tayyeb said on Wednesday 27/4/2022 the holy Quran is a divine light that has lightened the whole world and enhanced a high-level ethical system through the Islamic conquers that changed the course of human history.

This came during a celebration of Laylatul Qadr – the night when the Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the world and also the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

The celebration was attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Al Azhar Grand Imam expressed greetings to President Sisi, the Egyptian people, the Arab and Islamic nations and heads of state, kings and Emirs on the occasion.

He voiced hope that God would grant the whole world peace, security and stability.
