Arab countries mourn Sinai martyrs

Kuwait condemned a terrorist attack that claimed the lives of an officer and ten security personnel and left five others injured in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on Saturday.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed solidarity with Egypt and backing for all measures it deems necessary to take to protect its security and stability and combat extremism and terrorism.

It offered condolences to the families of the victims of the attack and wished rapid recovery for the injured.

Saudi Arabia vehemently decried a terrorist attack on a water-lifting station that claimed the lives of an officer and ten security personnel and left five others injured in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on Saturday.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed solidarity with Egypt and full backing for all measures it deems necessary to take to protect its security and stability, praising the role played by the Egyptian Armed Forces to defend the nation against such acts of terrorism and sabotage.

“The kingdom extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the attack and to the government and people of Egypt and wishes speedy recovery for the injured,” the ministry said in a press release.

Bahrain strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a water lifting station in Western Sinai in Egypt, resulting in the death and injury of a number of Egyptian armed forces soldiers, BNA reported.

The Foreign Ministry expressed sincere condolences to the Egyptian government, people, and families of the martyrs, wishing all those injured a speedy recovery.

It affirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with Egypt in its war against terrorism, and its full support for all the measures it takes in confronting extremist terrorist organizations and maintaining the country’s security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The ministry expressed Bahrain’s pride in the Egyptian armed forces’ sacrifices in protecting Egypt’s security and stability, lauding the Egyptian stances in defending Arab national security, and deterring foreign interference targeting the region and its peoples.

It reiterated Bahrain’s firm rejection of violent crimes, extremism and terrorism in all its forms, calling for the need to unite the efforts of the international community in confronting this dangerous phenomenon.

Jordan has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a water lifting station in Egypt’s eastern canal area.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Haitham Abul Foul reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the Egyptian government and people in combating terrorism that aims to threaten the peace and safety of Egypt.

He expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the families of the dead and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
