The Arab League announced that the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity Energy Department will organise several events during the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP28), which commenced yesterday in Expo City Dubai and will continue until December 12.

The League stated that the events will be organised in collaboration with strategic partners, namely the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), within the pavilions of the League of Arab States and the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

In a statement issued yesterday, Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Malki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs sector in the Arab League, affirmed the League’s consistent participation in the activities of the conferences of the parties. He highlighted the significance of the Energy Department’s activities and noted that the Arab League’s pavilion, under
the purview of the Economic Affairs sector, will coordinate all activities related to the various sectors of the General Secretariat.
